Idaho Agriculture

I grew up in a small town, so I have seen where many of the things I eat and use everyday have come from. I am very grateful to the farmers for these things. I am grateful for ranchers who raise sheep and take the wool to make clothes that keep us warm. Also farmers raise cotton, that makes a lot of our clothes.
I am grateful for the food farmers grow. I love the tall stalks of corn, and wheat waving in the wind. When I am at my Grandma’s I like to see the little green shoots coming up. I love bananas, so I am thankful that trucks bring them from other countries.
I like to go to my Grandma’s and feed the sheep, cows, and horses. At Christmas they would give us sheep meat. Because farmers and ranchers raise animals such as chickens and pigs, I have the meat I need to grow.
Without farmers we would not have the things we need. I am glad that I live in a small town, so I can appreciate Idaho Agriculture.

Idaho Agriculture

I am one of the luckiest kids in all the world. Do you know why? Because I was born, raised, and still live in Idaho! Agriculture is a part of my everyday life here in Idaho. I love the corn, potatoes, and onions we produce in Idaho. I know I may not farm or anything… but I sure do love to eat the fresh Idaho produce.
Here in Idaho we eat and grow blood red tomatoes, crisp apples, and the darn best potatoes you have ever tasted! I LOVE the food that grows here in Idaho. When you bite into that sunshine yellow corn on the cob… your mouth waters and you want more. The fresh produce in Idaho also keeps your body strong and healthy! The food also keeps you growing and gives you the nutrients and vitamins that your body needs.
As I said before, I LOVE the food we grow here in Idaho… and it keeps you healthy too! Idaho is also a great place to live and have fun! Idaho is also a GREAT place to eat the freshest food in the world!!!

Idaho Agriculture

I’m the luckiest kid in the world because I live in Idaho and Agriculture is part of my everyday life.  Around my house there is a lot of farming and animals like pigs, cows, and horses.  I like the milk, meat, and beef jerky from cows.
I like to grow gardens and make homemade salsa.  I also like to hunt and fish.  I like to eat the meat and elk heart.  Idaho produces apples, peaches, grapes, potatoes, wine, and table grapes.
I love living in Idaho because I love to be outdoors and to garden.  I like to hike and see historical sights.  There is so much more to do in Idaho than I said.
